June Love in Action Bin Collection
Throughout the month of June, the Love in Action Bins will be used to collect backpacks and school supplies for Chenoweth Elementary. Please bring new or gently used child-sized backpacks and new schools supplies (i.e. pencils, crayons, scissors) to one of the bins located in the Atrium, Friendship Hall, or by the office by Sunday, July 2.
Update from Ministry Alignment Ad Hoc Team
The Ministry Alignment Ad Hoc Team has been hard at work since early this year. We have had several meetings and have gathered feedback on tasks and responsibilities from committee chairs and from our staff. Now that we know the new budget figures for personnel going forward, we will soon pull our information together and make a final report.
Family Fun Days
Children ages birth through 5th grade are invited to bring an adult and join us for Family Fun Days each Wednesday during June and July in the Children’s Learning Center. Each morning, adults will have the opportunity to interact with one another while children explore Bible stories hands-on through crafts, games, cooking, and imagination.
Jubilate Concert and Housing Request
Thank You: Family Scholar House
Dear Friends,
On behalf of the Board of Directors, participants, and staff of Family Scholar House, I want to thank you for your gift of $1,065.98, which we received on 4/28/17. Your generosity supports our mission to break the cycles of poverty and homelessness through education and career development.
Summer Sunday School
If your Sunday School class is not meeting this summer, there are still ways to get involved during the Sunday School hour. The Spiritual Formation Team has worked hard to create intergenerational Sunday School opportunities, and we hope you will find the Summer Service and Summer Seminars to be great ways to connect and stay involved throughout the summer. This is also a wonderful opportunity to invite a friend!
Thank You: The Leiferman Family
Dearest friends,
Where do we begin to say thank you for all your prayers, cards, concerns, and telephone calls during these long weeks of fear for our daughter’s safety? The power of prayer can never be underestimated! She and her friend for life (also named Joelle) are home safe due to the prayers of many people.
