Once again, we had fun meeting new friends and becoming better acquainted with past campers. We enjoyed learning about Culinary Art, Acrylic Art, Art, Guitar, Percussion, and Piano.

A Message from the Interim Pastor
One of the books the staff and deacons will be studying this fall is How Your Congregation Learns by Tim Shapiro. From the book, here is Peter Senge’s classic description of a learning organization: a place “where people continually expand their capacity to create the results they truly desire, where new andexpansive patterns of thinking are nurtured, where collective aspiration is set free, and where people are continually learning how to learn together.”

Our next Quarterly Business Meeting will be held on Wednesday, August 23, at 6 p.m., in Friendship Hall. In addition to the presentation of the Second Quarter Financial Statements, there will be a vote on the nominees for the Pastor Search Committee, and a discussion of the plans for the interim.
Making a Joyful Noise for the Last Five Years!
This month, we celebrate the fifth anniversary of Robert Gammon's ministry at Broadway. When the search committee was given the job description by the deacons and surveyed the congregation, it was clear that expectations were very high. In unanimously recommending Robert, we believed that we had found the person who could meet those expectations - and he exceeds them!

The Second Quarter Giving Statements (January through June 30) were mailed on Monday, July 31. Please review your statement for accuracy, particularly if you have given for more than one purpose. With contributions coming in for both general budget and the Capital Campaign, we want to make sure all contributions are posted correctly. One way to help us is to be sure to clearly mark the envelope or check for the amount for each designation of your contribution.
Wednesday Nights are Getting a Whole New Look
This fall, we are adjusting our Wednesday schedule to provide more opportunities for small groups and Bible studies. You will be seeing and hearing about the Wednesday schedule in more detail in the coming weeks, but we wanted to encourage you to make sure you read these schedules closely so you don’t miss out on anything!

June Love in Action Bin Collection
Throughout the month of June, the Love in Action Bins will be used to collect backpacks and school supplies for Chenoweth Elementary. Please bring new or gently used child-sized backpacks and new schools supplies (i.e. pencils, crayons, scissors) to one of the bins located in the Atrium, Friendship Hall, or by the office by Sunday, July 2.
Update from Ministry Alignment Ad Hoc Team
The Ministry Alignment Ad Hoc Team has been hard at work since early this year. We have had several meetings and have gathered feedback on tasks and responsibilities from committee chairs and from our staff. Now that we know the new budget figures for personnel going forward, we will soon pull our information together and make a final report.
