Introducing a New Face Behind the Scenes

Broadway is thrilled to introduce our newest staff member, Christy Fuller, who began her role as our Communications Assistant on July 24. A native of Harlan, Ky., Christy studied Public Relations with an emphasis in Print Journalism at Western Kentucky University.

As luck would have it, a charming young man held the door open for her as she was moving into her dorm at Western, and they married in 2007.

Christy’s background is a colorful mosaic of nonprofit and faith-based fundraising. For five years, she served as the Communications Development Associate with Christian Benevolent Outreach, a Lexington-based charity providing housing and care to low income seniors. After marrying and moving to Bardstown, she took quite a creative professional detour by getting involved in the growing bourbon industry. Originating as the Lead Host for Heaven Hill’s Bourbon Heritage Center, she was later recruited by bourbon powerhouse Jim Beam to join their first-ever grain-to-bottle bourbon experience in 2012. She personally led the very first tour through the distillery and can answer just about any question related to America’s first native spirit.

When not writing copy for the church’s website, printed publications, or serving as an administrative assistant, Christy is busy decorating her new house in Elizabethtown (including a room dedicated to Psalm 119:105), which she shares with her husband Brian and polydactyl cat, Mittens. They are hoping to adopt within the next year! She is an avid traveler with aspirations of becoming an author and living abroad someday. Christy will be in the office Mondays through Thursdays. Please stop by and say hello.
