Summer Sunday School

Summer Sunday School

If your Sunday School class is not meeting this summer, there are still ways to get involved during the Sunday School hour. The Spiritual Formation Team has worked hard to create intergenerational Sunday School opportunities, and we hope you will find the Summer Service and Summer Seminars to be great ways to connect and stay involved throughout the summer. This is also a wonderful opportunity to invite a friend!

2017 Jubilate Youth Choir Winter Retreat

2017 Jubilate Youth Choir Winter Retreat

This year, we attended winter Jubilate for the third time. A group of 11 went to Atlanta for Martin Luther King weekend and met with other youth choirs to learn new songs. Jubilate was an amazing experience that gave the youth the chance to learn new music, meet new friends, and worship. We practiced Friday night, all day Saturday, and then again on Sunday before our two concerts. By the end of the weekend, we knew that the hours of rehearsal were worth it because our performances were great. It is always exciting to get to see our friends from other churches and make new ones too. We were able to visit the Georgia Aquarium before our flight, which was
an amazing way to end a perfect weekend spent worshiping with friends.

Youth Trading Cards

Youth Trading Cards

Act now to make sure there is a card for you! This fundraiser is a great opportunity for folks to become partners with the youth ministry. Inside each envelope is a “trading card” of one of our wonderful youth, with their picture, some information about them, but also a prayer request the particular youth has requested. Our hope is you would put these trading cards in a place where you will see them often, and pray for them when you do, and that you would then follow up with your youth and see how their prayer needs change. All proceeds from the fundraiser go to support our summer trips to Passport in NC and our trip to Slovakia in July. The envelopes currently range in price from $30 to $95.
