Spring Missions Sale Spotlight: Partners in Development Zambia

Saturday, March 11, from 8 a.m.-12 p.m.
Pay-Double Preview Party — Friday, March 10, 6-8 p.m.

The Spring Missions Sale is coming up! All proceeds go to Deaf Teen Quest and Partners in Development, Zambia.

Retired CBF field personnel, Lonnie Turner, candidly affirms, "I work for my wife, Fran,” who founded Partners in Development (PID). Because of their 30-year history in Zambia, the Turners can see the needs and how to address them. Their focus is on health care, clean water, and education for girls. Lonnie is also passionate about the endangered black rhinoceros and teaching kids to play basketball. Money sent to PID is life changing to those receiving education and clean water. For more information about PID, speak with Paul Simmons, Betty Simmons, Janis Eberenz, or Phyllis McCoy, all of whom have visited the Turners in Zambia.

Fran and Lonnie will be speaking after Wednesday Night Dinner on Wednesday, March 8. Please call the church office at 502.895.2459 by 12 p.m., on Tuesday, March 7, to make a reservation.

Donations of merchandise are welcome and should be taken to the racquetball court in the Family Life Center. Tax receipts are available from Betty Newcomer or Mary Jackson. Volunteers are pricing on Wednesdays from 3-5 p.m. Please consider volunteering by donating items, helping to price on Wednesdays, or helping the weekend of the yard sale. For more information or to volunteer, contact Mary Jackson at mherdjack@bellsouth.net, Betty Newcomer at beronn43@gmail.com, or Tonya Underwood at willowhera@gmail.com.
