Several years ago as part of a Girl Scout project, Nikki Rogers (daughter of Connie and Jim) envisioned and created a Prayer Garden for the church, located in the field between the east parking lot and Chippewa Road.
After a few years of overgrowth, the Garden has been uncovered and will be restored by the Grounds Committee – with your help! We encourage you to walk in the field to see where it is, and to participate in its restoration. We are asking all Broadway gardeners, as you divide your perennial plants this spring, to give some of those plants to the Garden. And we invite you to plant them (or have us plant them) in a church-wide grounds workday on Saturday, April 29. Not only will you be making the area more beautiful with your plants, you will be offering your prayers to your fellow church members.
Plants needed (perennials only!) include: Hostas, Lirope, Daylilies, Daisies, Black Eyed Susans, Coneflowers, and Hellebores.
