The 25th Annual Habitat for Humanity Baptist House "Raise the Roof"

The 25th Annual Habitat for Humanity Baptist House "Raise the Roof"

April 12 - 14

This year, we celebrate the 25th Baptist House with the building of two houses, and two Raise the Roofs, right across the street from each other! This means, we need double the volunteers. We are looking for a men's crew of five on Saturday, as the ladies will be at the Spring Mission Luncheon. We also need a group to provide lunch on Friday the 13. If you would like to participate, please contact Sharon Davis at gdavis3@bellsouth.net, or 502.939.4682. New folks are welcome!

2018 Season of Lent: God of Wilderness and Water

2018 Season of Lent: God of Wilderness and Water

The season of Lent is an ancient tradition of the Church. Beginning with Ash Wednesday, Christians across the world participate in a time of  reflection, repentance, and renewal.

This year, we will experience Lent anew through the theme God of Wilderness and Water. We invite you to journey with us as we meet God in unexpected places.

A Message from Our Interim Pastor

A Message from Our Interim Pastor

In 1995, Thomas Cahill began a series he called The Hinges of History.  Perhaps the two best known are How the Irish Saved Civilization and The Gifts of the Jews. In his introduction to the series, he wrote:

We normally think of history as one catastrophe after another… but history is also the narratives of grace, the recounting of those blessed and inexplicable moments when someone did something for someone else, saved a life, bestowed a gift, gave something beyond what was required by circumstance.

A Look Back at the Activities in January and February

A Look Back at the Activities in January and February

In January, the elementary children hosted friends from Buechel Park Baptist Church for a sleepover in the Family Life Center. The students played games together, worked on crafts, and had an evening devotion before bedtime and a movie. The children have already talked about how excited they are to do this again next year, and invite other churches!
