Your Capital Campaign Steering Committee is thrilled, as we are sure the entire congregation is thrilled, with the success of the campaign. Commitment Sunday provided a wonderful surprise that resulted in meeting and surpassing our goal. Our pledges as of May 10 are $522,288. Now we must begin to honor those pledges. We are designating May 22 as “First Fruits Sunday.” We certainly understand that there are going to be a large number of ways that pledges will be fulfilled. Some have elected to give their entire pledge immediately, others weekly or monthly, and others at different intervals. For those of you who will be giving a portion of your pledge in this immediate time period, we ask that you include those gifts in the offering on May 22. On the next Sunday we will announce our “first fruits” total. Again, we thank you for your generosity and support.
