Broadway has a longstanding tradition of excellent worship on Sunday mornings. It is thoughtful, deep, and meaningfully influences the lives and spirits of those who participate. With this in mind, I recognize it is no small thing to ask the congregation to turn over that worship to the youth. Yet every year, and in small ways throughout the year, you do exactly that: empower the youth to plan and practice meaningful worship. And so allow me to say on behalf of the youth ministry, that we are grateful for your faith and trust. Our youth poured much time, effort, and thought into our Youth Sunday service this year, and I thank you for supporting them by your encouragement, kind words, and participation in the service itself. There is a common misconception that the youth are the future of the church. They are not. They are a vital part of the church today, and you allow them to live into that role and that calling.
