Loss and Grief

This workshop will be offered on two different dates:
Saturday, February 7, from 10 a.m. – noon in Friendship Hall
or Tuesday, February 10, from 10 a.m. – noon in Friendship Hall

In this workshop you will:
Find a safe place to be how and where you are
Learn what to say and not to say to those grieving
Discover personal survival strategies following loss
Gain a new understanding of “normal” and “healthy” grief
Hear someone talk openly and candidly about suicide
Explore the mystery of grief “aftershocks” 
Be challenged to listen to and experience your emotions
Find ways to have the courage to grieve
The workshop leader is Ron Higdon. He has over 50 years of pastoral experience, including 10 years as an intentional interim specialist and a certified church consultant.

Ron Higdon’s book, Surviving a Son’s Suicide:  Finding Comfort and Hope in Faith, Friends, and Community retails for $9.95, but is available for this workshop at the discounted price of $8.00.
