Blessing of Teachers and Students

On Sunday, August 20, we are celebrating Promotion Sunday for our youth and children. As always, children and youth will move into new classes based on their age or year in school. This morning will be especially important for them as they get to know their new teachers.

Again this year, we will also honor Promotion Sunday by blessing teachers and students from within our congregation and community during worship. We hope this will be a meaningful time of prayer and encouragement as we lift up those among us who will spend the next 10 months learning, teaching, and investing in the lives of the youngest members of our community.

Ministry Fair

Atrium and Family Life Center

The Ministry Fair (a great time to sign up for fall activities, small groups, and to learn more about Broadway) will be Sunday, August 27, before Sunday School and after Worship in the Family Life Center and Atrium. If you would like to have a table for your small group or ministry, please contact Susan Reed in the church office or at susanr@broadwaybaptist.org. Please make plans to visit the booths, enjoy a light lunch, and get to know more about Broadway!

Service in September
Sunday, September 10, 12 p.m.
Friendship Hall and Various Locations

Service in September will be held Sunday, September 10, at 12 p.m. This is a church-wide time of service in our community to commemorate the tragedy of 9/11 with a positive spirit of serving those around us. We will meet in Friendship Hall for a light lunch following worship, and then split up to do various service projects in the church and around Louisville. Projects will be available for all ages and skill sets, and will last 1-3 hours.. You may sign up for the project you are most interested in at the sign up table at the Ministry Fair on August 27.
