This past weekend, 13 of Broadway’s youth joined Interim Youth Minister Kristin Belcher for a weekend of Bible study, reflection, great food, and service to their community. Throughout the weekend, they had one question in mind - what does it mean to be Called 2 Follow?

The theme of this year’s DiscipleNOW was Called 2 Follow, as in being called to follow Jesus. Throughout the weekend, we discussed what exactly that meant. At the mission work site at Choices Inc., we cleaned out an entire apartment for a family in need that was getting ready to move in. I believe this is an example of following Jesus, because we were doing something great for others.
This weekend, I learned how much can get done when people work together. What would’ve originally been a weeklong process for the Choices workers to complete, took a few hours with the help from us.
My favorite part of this weekend was the Bible studies, because our leader implemented games into the studies to help us get a better understanding of the lessons. DiscipleNOW this year was a great experience!
