Loss and Grief

A Workshop on All Kinds of Losses and the Many Faces of Grief
A Safe Place to Bring Your Questions and Concerns

This workshop will be offered on two different dates:

Saturday, February 7 from 10 – noon in Friendship Hall
Or Tuesday, February 10 from 10 – noon in Friendship Hall.

Some of the issues to be discussed:

Is there a normal/healthy way to grieve?
What should I say or not say to a grieving person?
How long does grief last?
What are some helpful “survival” strategies following loss?
Why is suicide so difficult to talk about?
How do you face the “aftershocks” that come with grief?
Is anger a normal part of the grief experience?

The workshop leader is Ron Higdon. He has over fifty years of pastoral experience, including ten years as an intentional interim specialist and a certified church consultant. Ron Higdon’s book, Surviving a Son’s Suicide:  Finding Comfort and Hope in Faith, Friends, and Community, retails for $9.95 but is available for this workshop at the discounted price of $8.00.
