WORSHIP CARE
During the 11 a.m. Worship Service, church members provide care for infants and toddlers in the nursery. Children ages 3 through 3rd grade attend a portion of the Worship Service, and then go downstairs to the Children's Learning Center, where our Associate Pastor (Children and Families) and other church members lead the children through a Bible Story, prayer, snack, and play.
Providing care for the children during worship allows them to experience the church as a place of nurture, where they are loved. They learn more about Jesus through the care of fellow church members who spend time with them each Sunday.
Though parents and grandparents who bring children to church are asked to serve as worship care volunteers, when other church members volunteer, it allows families and couples more opportunities to worship together. And, the children benefit from interaction with adults outside of their family.
WE NEED YOU! If you would like to serve as a worship care provider, we could use you in one of the following areas:
Currently, the Worship Care rotation involves service once every other month. If you commit to serve, you would be in the same room each time, the same week of the month (for example: Odd Month, First Sunday, Baby Room). We also need a 5th Sunday crew! If you would be willing to serve the 5th Sunday of the month (July, October, and December 2017, and April 2018), but can't commit to every other month, we would be happy to have you!
If you would like to serve in Worship Care, please e-mail Emily Holladay at emily@broadwaybaptist.org. All adults (over the age of 18) who work with children are required to fill out a background check.
