Chenoweth Elementary – Chenoweth Elementary is a Jefferson County public elementary school that is located very close to Broadway. Chenoweth enrolls about 515 students from diverse backgrounds, both racially and economically. Broadway is involved with Chenoweth in many different ways including providing “goodie bags” and breakfast for faculty and staff, Disciple NOW and Service in September service projects, collection of items for the Family Resource Center, and the support of students through the Angel Tree at Christmas. West End School – The West End School is a free, private, college prep elementary and middle school for at-risk young men. The school exists because of the growing need for alternative forms of education, particularly for the young men in the Louisville community. Boys especially are at higher risk for almost every index of failure: academic, achievement, truancy, dropout rates, school suspensions and expulsions, delinquency, and incarceration.
