After traveling down the path of our Lenten theme, God of Wilderness and Water, we will gather to celebrate the resurrection of Christ as we are led by the Chancel Choir and instrumentalists in our Alleluias. Come to Broadway to celebrate Christ is Risen. Christ is Risen indeed!
On April 8, we will begin distribution of the booklet, Getting Ready for a New Pastor and a New Future. It contains my full report for the final phase of our interim ministry. Much of it is new material, but you will also find summary items from some of our workshops that I believe we need to keep in mind as we move into the process of calling a new pastor.
The search process for our new senior pastor is gaining momentum. Notice of the open position has been provided to dozens of CBF affiliated organizations, seminaries, and contacts throughout the nation. We are receiving resumes on a daily basis, and the search committee is now meeting weekly to review potential candidates.
The Finance Committee asks that you attend a "lunch and learn" on Sunday, April 22, following the 11 a.m. service. The purpose of the program is to share with you information about our budget, the process of stewardship as we move through this year and into 2019, and features a giving analysis over the last five years.
If you or a member of your family is graduating from high school, or receiving undergraduate or graduate degrees, we would love to hear about it and celebrate with you in the newsletter and on Graduate Recognition Sunday on May 20! Please submit the following information to firstname.lastname@example.org.
