Preschool

For Infants and up to 5 Years of Age

In the Preschool Ministry at Broadway Baptist Church, our mission is to help preschoolers to know that Jesus is a very special friend who loves them. We work to accomplish this goal by providing a place where the children are loved and have happy experiences through learning.

 

Sunday Mornings

9:45 a.m. – Preschoolers enjoy large group/small group activities during a time of Sunday School. Sunday School teachers work each week to teach the children about God, both through their lessons and the relationships that they work to build with the children.

While the toddlers and younger children go directly to Sunday School, children, ages 3 through 5, join the school-age children in the Children’s Suite for Arise. Arise is an opening assembly where the children gather to play a game, pray for one another, and listen to the word of God.

10:00 a.m. – Teachers accompany children, ages 3 through 5, from Arise to their classrooms for an interactive Sunday School lesson.

11:00 a.m. – Worship service begins in the Sanctuary. Children ages birth through 2, stay in their preschool rooms for a time of play and learning. A member of the Preschool worship team will accompany children, ages 3 through 5, to attend the early portion of the worship service. This allows the children to begin getting acquainted with the elements of worship. During one of the early hymns, preschoolers leave for a worship time designed for their age and developmental stage.


Wednesday Evenings

6:10 p.m. – Preschoolers, ages 3 through 5, have a special time of music. This time is for fun, building self-esteem, and learning about ways that Jesus helps us each and every day. For more information please contact Mark and Ashley Benz, Children's Choir Directors, at ashleybenz@gmail.com.
