Young Adults
Broadway Baptist Church’s Young Adult Ministry provides fellowship and spiritual growth opportunities for 20- through 30-year olds, both married and single. The group includes young professionals, local college and graduate students, as well as young adults in transition.
If you are searching for an active, lively, energetic group of young adults in Louisville, we invite you to join us. Activities include Bible study, hands-on mission projects, working with the youth of our church, fellowship, and social events. The young adults are full participants in the life of Broadway, serving on committees and teams as well as leading in worship.
Young Adult Activities
GenNext: This group meets on Tuesday nights at 7:00 p.m. in the Room With a View. Meetings are led by group members and include various forms of learning such as Bible study, viewing movies, recreation, mission action, and fellowship. Discussions are lively and participatory. We invite you to join us and see for yourself!
Serving Lunch to the Homeless: Every other month, this group provides lunch at the Jefferson Street Chapel at Liberty in downtown Louisville. They purchase, prepare, and serve the lunch at this inner city ministry to homeless men and women.
Habitat for Humanity House: In the spring, Broadway’s young adults help build the Baptist House for Habitat for Humanity, along with other church groups in Louisville. They hammer, paint, install insulation or serve hot coffee to the workers...whatever is needed.
ExtremeBuild: Each June, some of our young adults, along with other volunteers from Broadway, help build a house in eastern Kentucky in one week! This project, sponsored by the Kentucky Baptist Fellowship, provides a home for a deserving family in Owsley County, Ky. This is an amazing experience and can be attended for one day, two days or the whole week.
Trivia Night: Each January, Broadway’s youth host a trivia night at church. The young adults always manage to fill two tables and they usually take home first prize!
