May 17th  LifeTimers Luncheon and Program

Join us at noon on Thursday, May 17 in Friendship Hall as we hear about Grasshoppers Distribution:  Local Food for Local People.  It is easy to eat fresh, local food all year with the farmers at Grasshoppers.  You can eat healthy, help the environment and support our local community by purchasing your groceries through Grasshoppers.  Food purchased is distributed here at Broadway Baptist on Fridays, all year.   This spring they have fresh strawberries, asparagus, peas, fruit and much more.  The summer brings cantaloupe, summer squash, raspberries, blackberries, corn, tomatoes, eggplant and much more.    They even offer meats, cheese, Blue Dog bread, sweets, coffee, pastas and dairy products.  They have a website, www.grasshoppersdistribution.com.  You won't want to miss hearing about all they have to offer: fresh food that travels on the average less than 100 miles.  There is no membership fee for their food distribution.

Gracious Plenty will offer lunch for $5. but a reservation is required by Tuesday, May 15. Call Broadway's church office at  895-2459.
