Creative Arts Camp

Creative Arts Camp

August 6 - 9

As you have seen in several mediums of communication, our Creative Arts Camp has been set for August 6-9. This camp has an amazing reputation, not only at Broadway, but within our surrounding community. It is a camp that brings children together to learn about different mediums of the arts, instills spiritual lessons, and is an outreach to our community. Encourage your friends to sign up their children or grandchildren.  It is a four day summer camp that will enrich their lives.

Registration is now available online at www.broadwaybaptist.org/cac

Youngest Members Make a Joyful Noise

Youngest Members Make a Joyful Noise

The 2017-2018 Children’s Choir has participated in worship more than any Children’s Choir in the past six years at Broadway. Truly, this is a talented group of children and they have grown so much in their musical and spiritual knowledge and understanding this year. In addition, they have inspired us and enhanced our worship experiences numerous times, and we are grateful for their musical offerings in worship. Their last opportunity to sing in worship this semester is planned for May 13, Mother’s Day.

Reflection From Godly Play Training

Reflection From Godly Play Training

On March 8-10, I had the opportunity to attend three days of Godly Play training in Atlanta. Godly Play is a creative method for children to explore the stories of our faith, build community together, and begin to listen to the word of God in their lives. Through the art of story telling and the use of a wide range of materials to engage the children within the story, Godly Play leads children into a process of wondering to discover how God is working in and through the stories - even 2,000 years after they were  written!

This year, we will add a concurrent component for children in preschool and kindergarten. More information to come!

2018 Season of Lent: God of Wilderness and Water

2018 Season of Lent: God of Wilderness and Water

The season of Lent is an ancient tradition of the Church. Beginning with Ash Wednesday, Christians across the world participate in a time of  reflection, repentance, and renewal.

This year, we will experience Lent anew through the theme God of Wilderness and Water. We invite you to journey with us as we meet God in unexpected places.

A Look Back at the Activities in January and February

A Look Back at the Activities in January and February

In January, the elementary children hosted friends from Buechel Park Baptist Church for a sleepover in the Family Life Center. The students played games together, worked on crafts, and had an evening devotion before bedtime and a movie. The children have already talked about how excited they are to do this again next year, and invite other churches!
