Reba Cobb, Associate Pastor
Minister of Spiritual Formation

Having grown up in the rural south with Baptist parents and grandparents, I came to the Christian faith through heritage and then by choice. After my call to ministry in my teens, I was graduated from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama, and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville. My experience in church ministry has been broad and deep, having worked as an administrator of three local non-profit institutions and of The Cooperative Baptist Fellowship in Atlanta. I have served two churches in Louisville…Crescent Hill Baptist and now Broadway Baptist. My love for people and love of God is what propels me to this high calling. It is a privilege and joy to serve as a minister here at Broadway Baptist Church.


  

Susan Reed, Associate Pastor
Minister with Youth and College Students

Hi, My name is Susan Reed.  I’m from Central Kentucky with a BA in Communications from Georgetown College and a Masters of Divinity from Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond, VA.  I have been working at Broadway Baptist Church since 2006 and am the Minister with Youth and College Students.  One of my favorite things about Broadway and working with the students are the many opportunities we have to engage the world through missions, small groups, and learning from one another. 



Becky Caswell-Speight, Associate Pastor
Minister to Children and Families

Hi, I'm the minister with Children and Families. I found my home at Broadway Baptist in 2008. After growing up in Louisville, I moved away to earn my BA in Religion from Georgetown College and my Masters of Divinity from Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond, VA. One of the things that I enjoy most about Broadway is watching the many different ways that my daughters and other children are empowered to live out the message of Christ.

 

Noel Weaver
Minister of Music

 Noel has been leading the music ministry since 2005.  In addition to serving Broadway, he is the Choral Director at Ballard High School.

 



Leslie Smith Townsend
Pastoral Counselor

Leslie Smith Townsend has 30 years of counseling experience in social service agencies, hospitals, pastoral counseling centers and private practice. She specializes in working with families and individuals in crisis and life transition; persons coping with disability or chronic illness; grief and bereavement; divorce and remarriage; adolescence and young adult issues; abuse recovery; women’s issues; and spiritual direction.

Townsend received her Ph.D. in pastoral counseling in 1991 and did post-graduate work in marriage and family therapy. She is an ordained Baptist minister and holds a certificate in Spiritual Direction from the Shalem Institute in Washington, D.C. She is a clinical member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists and a Fellow in the American Association of Pastoral Counselors.

She is an Anthem, Humana and CIGNA provider.
